I just came across your blog as I was reviewing physiology of male orgasm and premature ejaculation(PE). Sexual responses a governed by the autonomic(or involuntary) nervous system. Erection is parasympathetic and ejaculation is sympathetic(figh-or-flight).These parts of the nervous system are like a see-saw, when one side is up the other is down. Having too much sympathetic input can cause inability to achieve or maintain an erection (erectile dysfunction) or have a orgasm prematurely. There are medications that can help both of these problems. Everybody knows about viagra and the others for ED. SSRIs and anti-anxiety meds can help PE. True "relaxation" is in order, but some people just have greater sympathetic tone than others. It puts them at risk for other things like high blood pressure, as well.
